BCBUA Elections August 13, 2024
The President has appointed Jim Van Meer, BCBUA Treasurer, as the returning officer to receive all nominations for Vice-President and Secretary for the next term. Elections will be held at the next annual general meeting to be held at a date to be determined after October 1, 2023. Nominations for election to the Board to fill these two positions must be received by the Returning Officer by September 1, 2023.
An incumbent occupying the offices of Vice-President and Secretary must indicate an intention to run for re-election in writing delivered to the Returning Officer by September 1, 2023. Nominations for election to those offices may be made from the floor only if a position will become vacant, there have been no nominations for such vacant position and the incumbent has not declared an intention to run again for that position.

The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring that all sport participants in Canada - from playground to podium - can participate and flourish in sport environments free from harassment, abuse, discrimination, and other forms of maltreatment. The Government of Canada has adopted a universal code of conduct to prevent and address maltreatment in sport. To be considered for funding a sport needs to have adopted the code of conduct and prepared policies for the protection of their members. Baseball Canada falls under this umbrella and it extends down through Baseball BC and to the BCBUA.
2024 Online Clinic Schedule January 21, 2024
Online clinics are now available for registration. As a reminder, completion of an online clinic is required in order to fully achieve level 1 and level 2 certfication.

Passing of Manny Alexiou - Long Time BCBUA Umpire/Allocator December 30, 2023
It is with profound sadness that the BCBUA is adivisng you of the sudden passing of Manny Alexiou, long time member of the BCBUA. Manny allocated games in the LMD for a long time, predominantly for the men’s leagues in the area. He had a huge heart and always a smile on his face.

Ron Boutang Scholarship Fund August 18, 2023
Applications are open for the 2023 Ron Boutang Scholarship Fund. If you're a member between the ages of 18-30 you are eligible to apply for funding to attend the Wendelstedt Umpire School.
