DO NOT REGISTER

January 5, 2025

BCBUA Members,

***IMPORTANT***

Happy New Year!  The BC Baseball Umpires’ Association (BCBUA) is getting ready to launch a new web-based platform for our members, but unfortunately it is not ready to go live yet. This platform will provide a new and more stable database that includes the ability to track education, mentorship, BCBUA levels, scheduling and includes an online education portal.

Please do not register for the 2025 season until we send you a message opening registration.  For the few that have registered, we are working on a solution to port that into the new system.

Members from 2024 will receive another email from us when the change is made, and it will include details for logging in and registering (and paying) for the 2025 season.  It will also include information on how to register for a clinic.

Local Associations are in the process of selecting a date for pre-season practical clinics and they will be listed on the updated web page and will be available for registration at that time.

The online clinic sessions will also be changing this season. The BCBUA is going from a limited number of hosted online clinics to self-directed online education for Level 1 and Level 2. This change will make it more convenient for our umpires to take their “classroom” training at their convenience and augment that education with the practical session hosted by local associations and run by BCBUA Course Conductors.

So … bottom line … Continue to view information on the BCBUA website (bcbua.ca) but DO NOT register for 2025 until our new platform is live.

We will keep you updated on the process via email.

If you have any questions you can contact John Pentland at pentlandbcbua@gmail.com

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
